Clean Air Asia marks 25 years of clean air action
For 25 years, Clean Air Asia has been at the forefront of advancing clean air solutions across Asia, working alongside partners and communities across the region.
This International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies, we mark this milestone with the launch of our 25th anniversary logo, celebrating a quarter-century of collaboration and action across the region.
The milestone comes at a time when the need for clean air action remains as urgent as ever. Air pollution continues to pose significant risks to public health, with far-reaching impacts on economies, communities, and the climate. This year's International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies offers a meaningful moment to reflect on why Clean Air Asia began this work 25 years ago and why it continues today.
A journey built on partnership
Throughout our journey, we have worked with governments, cities, development institutions, civil society, and communities to strengthen knowledge, build capacity, inform policies, and translate data into action.
“Our 25th anniversary is not only an opportunity to reflect on how far we have come, but also to recognize the people and organizations that have shaped our journey and the partnerships that continue to move clean air action forward across the region,” said Bjarne Pedersen, Executive Director of Clean Air Asia.
The celebration of Clean Air Asia’s 25th anniversary will run until the next International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies on September 07, 2027. Looking ahead, we will continue to bring partners together, strengthen our knowledge base, and turn these knowledge into action for cleaner air across Asia.
As we carry our 25th anniversary mark throughout this milestone year, it represents both the journey that has brought us here and the work that lies ahead.
Twenty-five years on, our commitment remains the same: cleaner air for all.
