Clean Air Asia is an international non-governmental organization leading the regional mission for better air quality, and healthier, more livable cities throughout Asia. Our mission is to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions in Asia and contribute to the development of a more sustainable, equitable and healthier region. We empower governments and cities by inspiring action and focusing efforts on the planning and implementation of solutions at scale, fostering regional cooperation to address issues of mutual concern, and ensuring the integration of air quality management across sectors and institutions. Our work focuses on implementing solutions that reduce air pollution, its detrimental health impacts and mitigate the climate crisis. We do so by providing policy guidance, building capacity, and making a compelling case for action among stakeholders at city, national, and regional levels. Since 2008, we have been a United Nations-recognized partnership comprised of more than 250 organizations in Asia and internationally, with six Country Networks (Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam). Our headquarters are in Manila, Philippines, and we have offices in Beijing, China, and New Delhi, India.
Clean Air Asia accepts interns from all over the world since 2007 to provide students (undergraduate/graduate) the opportunity to improve their skills and experience working in a diverse environment. Previous interns appreciated the improved understanding on air quality and related topics, gained practical skills in knowledge management and project management, established friendships and contacts that could help in their future career plans. Previous interns include students or young professionals from Asia - China, Philippines, Singapore and Sri Lanka/ and outside Asia – France, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden and United States.
Clean Air Asia Manila is looking for an intern to support contract management-related tasks in projects and activities under the Finance and Administration Services (FAS).
I. SCOPE OF WORK
The intern will assist Clean Air Asia FAS team with the following tasks:
- Organizing and filing electronic projects records and documents in Clean Air Asia server.
- Updating the online Contract Database with project details and outputs.
- Updating project summaries taking information from project files and online sources.
- Updating project files and documentation based on Contract Management requirements.
- Assist in other FAS tasks as may be required from time to time.
II. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND CRITERIA
The intern required for this task should be a new graduate or undergraduate student in a relevant field such office administration, business management, and other business administration courses. The intern should possess average proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (word, excel) with good typing skills and has demonstrated attention to detail, as well as good communication and interpersonal skills. It is expected that he/she is able to quickly grasp the importance of tasks assigned and can work independently.
III. DURATION, REMUNERATION and OTHER BENEFITS
The chosen intern will be appointed for three (3) months. Clean Air Asia offers a modest allowance and flexible time scheduling during the internship period but does not fund local/ international travel or provide accommodation for the accepted intern.
This internship is open to candidates residing in Metro Manila area. Clean Air Asia is currently in a hybrid working set-up. This internship requires reporting to the Clean Air Asia Office at least three (3) times per week and two (2) days work-from-home.
