Bjarne is the Executive Director of Clean Air Asia. Bjarne has a broad international experience, particularly in environmental issues and sustainable development, with a proven track record of achieving meaningful impact through strategic leadership, resource mobilization and team building at all levels. He has taken CAA through continuous growth both regionally as well as in China and India including broadening the work of Clean Air Asia to include the Air, Climate and Public Health nexus. Bjarne holds a MSc in Environmental Studies from Strathclyde University, Scotland.

Glynda, alongside the Executive Director, leads the Clean Air Asia team, sets the organization’s strategic direction, and undertakes resource mobilization. Glynda is a lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience in air quality management. She was a member of the legal team which assisted the Philippine Government in drafting the Clean Air Act of 1999 Implementing Rules and Regulations. She led the implementation of the Asia Clean Fuels and Vehicles program which resulted in national policies and roadmaps for cleaner fuels and vehicles notably the Vietnam and Philippine regulations mandating Euro 4 vehicle emission and fuel standards, and Pakistan’s roadmap for cleaner fuels and vehicles. Glynda holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from the Ateneo de Manila University and University of San Francisco (joint program); and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Philippines.

Dang oversees program development and strategic planning for Clean Air Asia’s impact initiatives on transport, energy, and urban air quality. She worked for government, private, and non-profit organizations in the early years of her professional career, with more than 10 years of training and experience on environmental pollution chemistry and management. She has led projects focusing on capacity building of governments for air quality management through policy guidance and direct technical assistance on air quality monitoring, emissions inventory and modeling, health impact assessment, air quality communication, and development of clean air action plans. Dang is a licensed chemist, holding a bachelor’s degree and masters units in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines.

Raymund Abad leads the Sustainable Transport Program of Clean Air Asia. He supports the management, implementation, and coordination of projects of Clean Air Asia and provides required technical and administrative support to guide specialists and researchers to effectively implement projects. His work focuses on the areas of clean fuels and vehicles, fuel economy, low-emission urban development, active transportation, green freight and logistics, and electric mobility. Raymund was a DOST-ERDT (Department of Science and Technology – Engineering Research and Development for Technology) scholar for his Master’s and Doctor’s degrees in Civil Engineering from the De La Salle University, and received additional training from the Transport Studies Unit – University of Oxford, UK (2017) as part of the Sustainable Cities and Resilient Transport project.

As Air Quality and Climate Change Science Lead, Ever leads in keeping track of regional trends and developments relevant to air quality and climate change, including identification of emerging new areas of focus for Clean Air Asia’s impact initiatives. She leads a team of specialists and researchers in helping governments achieve air quality improvement and emission reduction targets through science-based policy and decision making that are institutionalized through Clean Air and Climate Action Plans.
Everlyn has degrees in Biochemistry and Environmental Science from the University of the Philippines and trained with the World Meteorological Organization Global Atmosphere Watch and the European Research Course on Atmospheres.

Leakhena Hang provides the technical guidance to effectively implement the Air Quality and Climate Change Program of Clean Air Asia. She also plays a key role in the development, implementation, and review of air quality activities and projects of Clean Air Asia. Leakhena holds a master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of the Philippines Diliman. Leakhena is based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Precious looks after the strategic planning and project implementation of Clean Air Asia’s work in cities, and is involved in the planning, conducting, and monitoring and evaluating of a range of project activities, as well as research, the preparation of project reports, workshops, conferences, and events. One of her focus areas was the piloting of the Cities for Clean Air Certification, a Clean Air Asia initiative which aims to support and recognize cities doing work on air quality. With the pilot phase completed in 2018, Precious continues to work with cities to develop and implement science-based clean air action plans. She has an Environmental Science degree from the Ateneo de Manila University.

Vincent Ullero provides technical expertise on urban planning and development, develops and implements projects, and delivers outputs of exceptional quality for Clean Air Asia’s programs and projects.
Vince is an Urban Planner specializing in geospatial and socioeconomic planning. With his vast experience in local government, he played various roles from planning to implementing poverty-alleviating evidence-based health and education programs, and advancing rural communities through climate-resilient agriculture infrastructure and enterprise development projects. He has a diploma in Urban and Regional Planning (URP) from the University of the Philippines, Diliman and is currently taking his Master of Arts in URP.
Pratik Jha is the Energy Policy Specialist of Clean Air Asia. He contributes to the strategic planning and provides technical and policy advice and input to help develop Clean Air Asia’s position on current and emerging air quality and climate change issues in the region governing energy use and production, energy structures, and a just transition to non-fossil fuel energy sources. Pratik Jha has extensive experience providing policy advice on current and emerging air quality and climate change issues, governing energy use and production, energy structures, and a just transition to non-fossil fuel energy sources. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in Energy Policy from the University of Sussex, UK.

Dana provides technical assistance to Air Quality Management projects, and supports related capacity building activities of Clean Air Asia. Dana is a licensed chemist, with a bachelor's and master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines Diliman. Her graduate research work was primarily focused on particulate matter and aerosol studies. Prior to Clean Air Asia, she was a college chemistry laboratory instructor and a University Research Associate for almost eight years at the University of the Philippines, Diliman.

Enrique “Miko” Cosep plays a key role in the development, implementation and review of Clean Air Asia projects. Miko is a licensed chemist, holding a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines and a Master’s degree in Earth Sciences and Environmental Engineering from the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology. His previous work experiences revolved around environmental pollution studies, such as particulate matter research, ESG-based industry performance evaluation, pesticide and wastewater laboratory analysis, and healthcare waste management.

Carlo Bontia provides technical expertise in the development, implementation, and review of energy and other heavy-polluting industries work of Clean Air Asia. He also provides technical and policy advice and input to help develop Clean Air Asia’s position on current and emerging air quality and climate change issues in the region, particularly governing energy use and production, energy structures, and a just transition to non-fossil fuel energy sources. Carlo has a degree in BS Geology and is currently completing his master's degree in environmental science.

Cris Beo is a chemical engineer with experience in environmental research. His work was focused on clean air technology and clean energy generation. His research involved emissions-related policies and other relevant information on the coal-fired power plants (CFPs) and industry sectors in Asian countries and the reduction of pollutant emissions through the use of the best available techniques and control technologies.

Naressa provides technical expertise on sustainable transport, develop and implement projects, and deliver outputs of exceptional quality primarily under the Sustainable Transport of Clean Air Asia . Naressa holds an MSc on Complex Systems (Transport) at the University of Sydney, Australia, and completed her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of the Philippines Cebu where she also taught data analysis, and algorithm design. She has extensive knowledge on quantitative modelling and computational simulation of large complex systems such as transport networks, ecosystems and smart cities. Her interests include network analysis and application of data for evidence-based transport planning.

Myron works with the Program Manager and Sustainable Transport Lead to strengthen Clean Air Asia’s work on sustainable transport, including non-motorized transport, vehicle fuel economy and emission standards, fuel quality improvements, integration of transport into land use planning, electric mobility, in-use vehicle emissions management, and green freight programs and practices, and to shape Clean Air Asia’s position on current and emerging transport issues in the region. He has a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of the Philippines Diliman.

Marion Tinio is Clean Air Asia’s Transport Researcher. Marion provides technical expertise on sustainable transport, develops and implements projects, and delivers outputs of exceptional quality primarily under the Sustainable Transport Program. Marion has a master’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of the Philippines. He worked with various government and non-government organizations on research about air quality communication, transport and mobility, climate and disaster risk reduction, and solid waste management.

Patrick is Clean Air Asia’s Communications and Marketing Manager. Patrick has extensive experience in developing and implementing organizational communications strategies and plans, organizational brand building, digital campaigns including online fundraising, supporter engagement, and web/social media development, including content creation. He has completed an MSc in Global Challenges at the University of Edinburgh, which is a combination of Public Health Challenges, International Development and Environmental Studies.

Regina works with the Communications and Marketing Manager to design, coordinate, and implement communication plans for Clean Air Asia projects such as but not limited to social media content marketing strategies, news stories, social media captions, articles, and other informational material as required. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, major in Journalism, and a master’s degree in Community Development at the University of the Philippines Diliman.

Art leads the finance and administrative services team. He developed many of the Clean Air Asia’s operating procedures and is in charge of monitoring the organization’s financial budgets and financial reporting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has extensive knowledge on financial management, accounting functions, financial modeling, financial forecasting and feasibility analysis. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, major in Accounting from the Philippine School of Business Administration.

Jovy provides comprehensive support to the office of the Executive Director, including proactive coordination with the senior management team. She also oversees the human resource management of Clean Air Asia and takes a lead role in organizing the BAQ conference, annual meetings and other events. Jovy’s previous employment in Dubai includes high-level executive management support, organizing international events and human resource management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of Sto. Tomas.

Cris handles contracts management and prepare project financial reports. She also assist the program managers and country directors in the preparation and submission of project proposals to funding agencies. In coordination with the project team, she prepares contract and TOR for project consultants and sub-grants. Cris has a vast experience working in international non-governmental organization in the field of finance and administration.

Valerie provides support in finance and administrative services of Clean Air Asia. Valerie is an accounting graduate, with master’s degree in public administration. She previously worked as a finance assistant and provided administration support at BEAM-ARMM (Basic Education Assistance for Muslim Mindanao in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao), a project funded by the Australian government.
