Dr. Bhupendra Das is Clean Air Asia’s Kathmandu National Technical Expert to help implement projects of Clean Air Asia in Nepal focusing on sustainable transportation. Dr. Bhupendra Das has more than 15 years of experience at both national and international levels in the fields of air pollution, climate change, and renewable energy. Dr. Das has published over a dozen research articles in reputed journals, book chapters, and proceedings. He received various awards including the “Young Scientist Award” in the International Scientist Awards on Engineering, Science, and Medicine, held at Coimbatore, India by VDGOOD Professional Association. Dr. Das has masters degrees in Environmental Science, and Environmental Technology; and completed his PhD program in Environmental Science (Air Pollution) at Tribhuvan University.

Bijay Thapa is Clean Air Asia’s Kathmandu National Coordinator to help implement projects of Clean Air Asia in Nepal focusing on sustainable transportation. Bijay Thapa has more than 10 years of experience in Project management, environment, climate change, and renewable energy and has worked for INGOs, public and private entities and projects funded by ADB, World Bank, Government etc. He is also serving as expert for evaluation of EIA reports at Ministry of Forest and Environment, Government of Nepal. He holds a masters degree in Civil Engineering (Environment) from National Institute of Technology (NIT) – Kurukshetra, and PhD in Environmental Engineering from Kathmandu University.
