The Air Quality in Asia: Status and Trends Report is a flagship knowledge product of Clean Air Asia which provides an overview of the state of air quality in Asian countries and cities, and key air quality management practices of governments. It also provides key recommendations for advancing clean air solutions in the region.
The 2023 edition of the report is a timely and relevant resource, launched at the Better Air Quality Conference (BAQ 2023) in November 2023. The report was developed to consolidate pertinent information for policy and decision makers and other stakeholders to advance data-driven air quality action to protect public health in the region. In this edition, we present the extent of air quality monitoring in Asia, information on how countries and cities are faring in relation to the 2021 revision of the WHO AQGs, and an updated review of policies and initiatives for strengthening air quality management in the region.
