The 9th China City AQM Workshop: Regional Air Quality Management and Collaboration 第九届中国城市空气质量研讨会:区域空气质量管理与合作

(19-20 Mar 2013, Nanjing China)  Joint prevention and control of air pollution for better regional air quality has been researched, discussed and explored for years in China. The starting points were regional air quality management (AQM) and collaboration in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta (YRD) and Pearl River Delta (PRD) for mega-events, which have made remarkable achievements. However, regions and city clusters still face major air pollution challenges, and require a long term mechanism to sustain collaboration, especially on regional haze.

This workshop aims to explore effective approaches and solutions in support of the 12th Five-Year Plan for Regional Air Pollution Control. The workshop will discuss priority areas, feasible approaches and next steps for each key region and city cluster, based on their specific needs and on international and China experiences.

This workshop is co-organized by the Foreign Economic Cooperation Office, Ministry of Environmental Protection (FECO, MEP) and Clean Air Asia. It brings together the FECO/Clean Air Asia China City AQM Network and the PRD and YRD regional partners of Clean Air Asia, thus bringing more cities and regions to one focused event on regional AQM collaboration.
