The Better Air Quality conference (BAQ) is the largest gathering on air quality in Asia, covering transport, energy, industry, agriculture and climate change, with a particular emphasis on government policies and measures. Policy makers and practitioners meet at BAQ to network, learn and share experiences.
The BAQ has a proven history of influencing policies, initiating new projects, and establishing innovative partnerships. At the last BAQ, in 2018, more than 600 policymakers, practitioners and industry leaders from all over the world participated to network, learn, and share experiences.
The BAQ conference is usually held once every two years in cities around Asia. With the first BAQ held in 2002 in Hong Kong, China a total of ten (10) BAQs have been held so far. The other host cities were Kuching (2018), Busan (2016), Colombo (2014), Hong Kong (2012), Singapore (2010), Bangkok (2008), Yogyakarta (2006), Agra (2004), Manila (2003). The 2020 BAQ which was planned to be organized in Chengdu, People’s Republic of China (PRC) had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2023 BAQ will be held in Manila, Philippines.
