Background
SMMR proposes to develop and deliver an introductory 2-day ASI.SUM curriculum at BAQ 2023. The SMMR team will develop and deliver modules for Baguio City, Iloilo City, and General Santos City around their challenges of air quality. For this purpose, the modules will cover the integration of air quality into ASI- related measures within Sustainable Urban Mobility planning.
This will initially comprise 5 modules totaling 11 hours of material. These modules will be delivered to local staff from Baguio City, Iloilo City and General Santos City. The modules will be part lecture-based, and part practical exercise-based. SMMR will video record the lectures. Upon the completion of the module, SMMR will hand over the lecture material (slide-decks) together with the supporting video recording and practical exercise instructions. SMMR will also issue certificates to all training participants.
Objectives
- Increase the capacities of participating authorities and local staff on integrated urban mobility concepts per the Avoid-Shift-Improve (ASI) approach.
- Identify with participants additional project opportunities to leverage financing for project preparation.
