16:00 – 17:30 - Auditorium 2
BACKGROUND
Air pollution can negatively affect human health and contribute to climate change. An understanding of sources contributing to air pollution is therefore essential to developing an effective long-term air quality management strategy and mitigation policies at the city, national, and regional levels.
Understanding of air pollution sources includes effective use of tools, methodologies, technology, and the data generated to design, support mitigation measures and accelerate clean air action.
OBJECTIVE
This session will provide participants with the knowledge and appreciation of the current programs, methodologies, technology, and tools which can be adapted and utilized to harness data on emissions and air pollution sources which are essential to developing effective and sustainable solutions and mitigation policies.
